The fairs "Carnevale Medievale", "Fiera dei Cavalli" and "Fiera dell’Olio" are the most important traditional appointments with hstory, oenological-gastronomic products and the culture of ours region, that acquire value.

The fair "Carnevale Medievale" takes place the last Sunday of carnival, when streets and alleies of the castle of Calenzano are populated by fancy-dressed people, that bring the tourist in the magic of the Medieval Age.

In the first week-end of September the fair "Fiera dei Cavalli" takes place in Carraia; this is an important appointment for those who are interested in the equestrian sector.

The fair " Fiera dell’Olio" takes place the last week of November, during this appointment the new oil of the various crusher, that are still present in the zone of Calenzano, is presented; oil is the symbol of the history and of the economy of this territory.

Furthermore, since 2004 takes place in September the event "Calenzano Citta’ Sostenibile" (Calenzano, sustainable city), with initiatives pointing out ambiental basic themes. Of particular importance is the "Mercato delle cose buone" (the market of good things to eat) in Calenzano Alto, where you can find also biological products.
