Carraia
Carraia is situated near an ancient ford on the river, that allowed people coming from the plain of Prato to ford the river Marina and to reach the main road, that brought to Mugello, after the crossing of the buttress of the mountain Calvana, in the resort Torri. The parish, dedicated to Santa Maria, was in origin turned toward the mountain; between the 1940 and the 1942, the orientation was overturned and the ancient entrance was pulled down.
